Hindustan Urvarak & Rasayan Limited (HURL) is a joint venture established by Coal India Limited, NTPC Limited, Indian Oil Corporation Limited, and Fertiliser Corporation of India Limited. The company was formed to revive closed fertilizer plants and enhance domestic urea production capacity. HURL has undertaken modernization and expansion of fertilizer units at Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh and Sindri, Jharkhand.
These projects significantly contribute to India’s fertilizer self-sufficiency goals. HURL employs advanced energy-efficient technology and environmentally sustainable practices. The company aims to provide affordable urea to Indian farmers while promoting indigenous manufacturing.
